QUESTIONS?
What do I actually get?
A step count you can trust
Counted from the motion sensor on your own phone, never typed in or imported.
A distance that was checked
GPS runs alongside the step count, and the two have to agree before a session counts.
Nothing to install
It is a web page. Open it in the browser you already have and start a session.
A wallet without the setup
One is created for you when you sign in, and you can link your own instead.
Weekly and monthly boards
Your verified distance is ranked against everyone else running the same week.
Your session history
Every session is kept with its steps, distance, cadence and stride.
Flags you can see
If a session is rejected you are told which check failed, rather than it quietly vanishing.
How is cheating prevented?
Steps and GPS distance are compared against each other. Shaking the phone gives steps with no ground covered, and a car gives distance with no step pattern, so both get flagged. Cadence outside a human range and speeds no one sustains on foot are rejected too. The browser offers no device attestation, so treat all of this as a filter rather than proof. Every check is re-run on the server, because a hand rolled request would simply claim it passed.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, in Safari. iOS asks for motion permission the first time you tap start, and you have to allow it. The page must be served over HTTPS for the sensor to be available at all.
Can I lock my phone while I run?
No. A browser cannot read the motion sensor in the background, so the tab has to stay in front. The tracker takes a wake lock to stop the screen sleeping, and picks the lock back up if you switch away and return.
Do I need a wallet already?
No. Sign in with an email code and one is created for you in the background. If you already run a wallet you can connect that instead, and rewards go there.
Are rewards live yet?
Not yet, and when they are, only one half of the board pays. Distance you record in the app earns tokens, because we measured it ourselves and checked it twice. Workouts your watch recorded, archery and the gym included, earn standing instead: they move you up the board and build your streak, but they never pay out. That is not us being stingy. A shortcut on your phone can claim anything, and we will not pay real tokens against a number we cannot stand behind.
